Graduated glitter manicure

The other day I gave myself a manicure Im particulary proud of so I thought Id post a how to including the products I used.
I started by applying Nails Inc Kensington caviar base coat. I love this as it makes my nails feel realy strong and protected. I thought it was a bit of a splurge when I bought it but its lasted me ages.
Next I applied 2 coats of Barry M gelly hi shine nail paint in prickly pear. I love spring as I get to use pastels and this is one of my favourite colours. Its a new purchase and Im really impressed as it provides great coverage and a super shine finish.
I used Nails Inc special effects electric lane holographic top coat for the glitter effect. This is a really thick polish and the glitter particles are alot smaller than others i've seen. I dabbed this on the base of my nail then used my Avon nail decoration tool to brush the glitter up my nail. I LOVE this tool, it is perfect for creating different effects and patterns. At £1.50 its a total bargain and i can't praise it enough!! I applied several coats of the Nails inc glitter polish, letting it build up at the base and brushing less up my nail to give the graduated effect. I used the pointed end of the tool to fill in any gaps that appeared.
Finally I applied Rimmel pro superwear top coat to seal it all in and ensure it lasted. This topcoat is fab for making polish last and i love the max brush that Rimmel use!
Let me know what you think of my home manicure :) xo
